Background
Our resume-building sites service 30+ locales and languages. We rely on Linguists to translate our copy and make it resonate with users all over the world. That isn't possible unless the source copy is clear and easy to translate.
Socializing UX Writing within the international team
As the first UX Writer on the international team, I created and established a process to bring Localization earlier into the product process. Check out my doc below.

Maintaining consistency
I worked with each linguist to develop style guides for each language. We all refer to these to keep punctuation, casing, style, and more consistent within each locale.

Elevating the quality of our copy with UX Writing workshops
I created a UX Writing workshop for Linguists to give them a better understanding of UX Writing principles. This increases our collaboration, and helps keep the sentiment of the source copy, even after it's translated.
